RT @PhillyInquirer: The pandemic has shown just how much workers need unions | Opinion https://t.co/aH4kFd3N3y
Says the guy who as a developer consistently stiffed unionized construction workers & contractors building his projects! https://t.co/nUWo2NZ53Z
Touring my NE Philly district to review the damage from #phillylooting . Heartened to see organized labor from the carpenters & glaziers unions already rebuilding at the Mayfair Shopping Center. #phillystrong https://t.co/yaLhjrD7hL
Tomorrow on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) I will argue for a robust raise in our state’s immoral minimum wage. https://t.co/aU6e4ZP0ms
The Plymouth Meeting & Willow Grove malls are closed for two weeks. Surely other businesses will follow suit. This is a huge blow to working class Philadelphians. These workers need protections from eviction, utility shut offs & other regressive measures during this crisis.
If the Federal Gov was able to bail out big banks in 2008 why arent we more seriously talking about doing this for the bar/restaurant/hospitality industry? 17 millions Americans have jobs in this sector so hard hit by #COVID19. Service workers should matter as much as bankers!
This is my op-ed supporting frontline essential workers in the fight against #COVID19 . Many of these healthcare, food & cleaning jobs are only $7.25/hr. If Pennsylvania wont act local governments like in Philly should be allowed to mandate a living wage. https://t.co/hEYBXx9eFm
Due to #COVID19 this is my first Labor Day in 10 yrs not at the annual rally & march of Philly unions. These are pics from 2019. Like last year & yrs prior the need to protect unions has never been more important in America as the top 1% continue to hoard wealth & opportunity. https://t.co/bSPTcV8jO1
