Its simple. If you want peace and a path toward a #caringsociety, @BernieSanders is the only candidate who is not beholden to the military+prison industrial complex. Everyone else took their money and will be complicit in going to war & will profit from our peoples poverty.
The money we spend on our military, police & prisons is directly linked to the violence we are seeing on the ground. The solution is to invest in a caring economy. Stop hiring more MTA cops. Redirect NYPD funds toward summer employment and our schools.
During this time, my uncle passed away at a Flushing facility from presumed COVID. He was a US Army Captain who died afraid & alone in a nursing home. My pain is shared by many New Yorkers like @JaniceDean who vow to hold Gov Cuomo accountable. 6/ https://t.co/8yzFlBNIvw

Defunding the military, police, and prisons are not radical ideas. Developed nations that made a choice to divest in violence & invest in care are beating us economically & enjoy a better quality of life. Meanwhile we rank last in upward mobility. I wonder why https://t.co/9rjl3LqlgE

It<U+2019>s not courageous to choke an unarmed man from behind to death. My dad was a Marine/Vietnam Vet, and my uncle was a Seal. I grew up in a military family, and they all agree that former combat training comes with a greater responsibility to protect those weaker than you.
