Liberty prevails! My bill's language was sent to the Governor's desk on the final day of session as part of HB 1662! Soon Missourians will no longer need to ask for permission before starting most home businesses. Many thanks to @Koenig4MO & @DerekGrier #moleg https://t.co/NVjPjAkl5E

Excited my bill eliminating licenses for home-based businesses was recently featured in an article by The Goldwater Institute! Thanks to my efforts and the tireless work of folks like @DerekGrier, my language made it through #moleg to Governor Parson. https://t.co/d1cF1yPpTC

I'm pleased to report my bill eliminating business licenses for small "no-impact" home businesses is close to receiving a final vote in the House. My thanks to @DerekGrier for his years of effort on this prior to passing me the baton. #moleg https://t.co/iMb69Rtq8y

Typical. #Moleg loosened up Missouri's liquor laws in order to help establishments survive. Regulators respond by asking for a half a million dollars in additional funding to put more government workers on the payroll to go after businesses. That'll be a hard no from me. https://t.co/Rz7zPISXCZ

Wealthy people being too lazy to return their cart at Aldi yields the next customer a free quarter. It's like a free market version of income redistribution. https://t.co/JB1uXNfp3c

@LiberalismNow @YALiberty Then there would be a corresponding incentive for those concerned to avoid those businesses and stay home. No "perverse incentive" exists for businesses to stay open if there are virtually no customers patronizing them.

@meg_meg50 I think some limited (and temporary) requirements on distancing and employee mask usage in retail and food service industries could be appropriate. I do agree that some businesses will likely choose to delay opening back up due to safety concerns or lack of customers.

@NvrSayDone @merissahamilton I'm okay with requiring businesses to enforce distancing, or limiting max occupancy at any given time based on room size. There's also industry specific requirements that could be considered, such as where food is concerned. There are plenty of reasonable ways to fight this.
