Haven't seen this many bills chasing non-existent unicorn problems in my 15 years of working around the Nebraska Legislature. And then they wonder why young people leave. Instead of coming up with solutions to retain and attract talent we will spend countless days on nonsense.

Something about a guy who has never had to worry about not being able to work a day in his life lecturing all of us about getting a job just pisses me off. https://t.co/eNVDzHzPlB
Pretty incredible to watch some of our state leaders pretend that our statewide skilled worker shortage is due to vaccines and not years of them proposing backwards policies and making crazy statements for a primary. Then doing nothing substantive to keep young Nebraskans here.
Unfortunately this kind of behavior is all too common from adults who should know better. And then people wonder why it<U+2019>s hard to recruit, retain and attract people to public service when we have to put up with this nonsense. Good for Mike Lucas and Westside. https://t.co/L9mCfL1gbz
Only @BenSasse would just assume unemployment benefits provide an INCENTIVE to low wage workers would to be laid off. That is not how being laid off works. Go get a real job before you grandstand and talk down to working people and block basic benefits during a pandemic. #COVID https://t.co/YSykNSinGj
Ben who? Is he that guy who said workers who are laid off because of a pandemic dont deserve an extra $600? Yeah, I remember him now. Havent seen him or met him in my six years of representing Nebraskas capitol city. https://t.co/px2teLMa5E
Board of Parole members make $85,000 a year. This is not some volunteer board and people have other lives and jobs. This is their job that they are paid a fair wage for and they can<U+2019>t be bothered to 1) Show up to work regularly, and 2) Act like adults when asked about it https://t.co/pUO0sKa2qB
We dont have an unemployment insurance problem, we have a paying Americans a living wage problem.
Having a guy like Pete Ricketts as governor who has never known a day without food or a job is the only reason. https://t.co/kYUbiuiMOM
And according to @GovRicketts logic $100 in additional food will stop people from getting a job. Complete soulless nonsense. https://t.co/QgBN1rORVN
