Secretary of Education Ryan Walters telling his supporters that as state superintendent he will weaponize stripping educators of their teaching certificates. This is not ok. https://t.co/noAwdFxGw4

Today, the Secretary of Education, who is also the State Superintendent of Public Schools. Came to class, without his presentation and asking for an extension on his homework. Good thing he receives two state salaries. https://t.co/TbpY1eH5IZ

Merit pay for teachers is a terrible idea. It creates a toxic and competitive work environment, neglects subjects that aren't tested, and overlooks the collaborative effort in education. Let's invest in our schools and education system as a whole #EducationEquity #NoToMeritPay"

Superintendent Walter, instead of allowing the already approved teacher pay raise for all teachers in formula. That is gone, and now incentive pay raise for select teachers that he approves. Very on brand.
