The Republican Party and my opponent said I was responsible for inflation and the cost of gas in Iowa. But what I really did was end the drought in Dubuque County. Kudos to me. https://t.co/RElU5d5vPt

Gas prices have come down 30 cents a gallon in Dubuque since I was re-elected two weeks ago. Grateful that President Biden took my call and agreed to my request to reduce the prices. https://t.co/XIovqSrcuS

Latest natural gas bill. Usage down 23%. Paying 129% more. "Polar vortex" charge up 50% thx to IA Utilities Board. Surcharges multiple times more than what we paid for gas in 1st place. Who profits? Thank Geri Huser, Richard Lozier, Josh Byrnes, guardians of the public interest.

Iowa House, finally, unanimously passes a bill, House File 2556, to cover the solar tax credits owed to Iowa homeowners who invested in solar because the state promised to help. Now, on to the Senate.... #ialegis

Remember when natural gas was supposedly so plentiful & cheap that US reserves would last several lifetimes & power everything? Well, my natural gas bill was MORE than this month last year, despite using 45 percent less. Luckily I had a space heater running on free solar energy!

My heating bill went up 13% this month compared with last year, even though my usage was down 36%. Is a public utility really public when it has no control over the price of the product and the price of the product is not regulated?

@DMRegister Is ethanol really a remedy for rising gas prices? Or will gas prices (along with E-10 and E-15) always rise and fall with the price of oil? How will the cost of ethanol be affected by rising corn prices, the competition for land to grow food? Has anyone done the studies?

@LauraRBelin To his credit, Rep. Klein came back in to answer questions about his solar tax credit bill.
