Voting in the Finance Committee this evening. Debated SB 741- legislation to set up two year COVID19 testing and contact tracing plan for the state. Also sets up a new state workforce dedicated to testing, contact tracing etc. Costs $100 million by year two...?? I voted no.

@murph_jd On testing - I actually agree with you that we<U+2019>re probably over testing - that<U+2019>s a conversation that should definitely be had more robustly. All the more reason that taxpayers, parents &amp; policy-makers should have access to the results to make educated decisions about way forward.

@Neusbaum04 No question it<U+2019>s overkill. We<U+2019>ve made efforts in past to relieve testing burden but mostly that progress was only at very young ages. Deserves more attention. My point on the Baltimore City story is that the data shouldn<U+2019>t be hidden whether we like all the testing or not.
