We need to break up monopolies, add important consumer protections, expand service, and keep prices low. I look forward to pushing forward on this bill to dramatically change the way we utilize the internet in our state. We all deserve access.
Over the last year, we’ve seen just how important affordable and accessible internet service is. Without access to broadband, many of us can’t do our work, go to school, or even see our loved ones— that’s why we need this change and strong regulation of the market.
By designating Internet as a public utility, we can finally add much-needed consumer protections and allow more people across our state to access the services they need.
