We passed a bill Thursday evening to let school districts use as many nontraditional instruction days as they deem necessary during closures sparked by the coronavirus. Jefferson County Public Schools also cleared the way to use distance learning to continue lessons. #kyga20

I just filed HB 576 - a TRS new-teacher Bill. This bill applies to K-12 teachers hired after 1/1/2021. This will be heard in Committee for discussion only in an upcoming meeting. HB 576 builds on the structure of last years HB504 filed by Representative Scott Lewis #kyga20
