BREAKING GOOD NEWS: Under intense pressure from NCDEQ, @selc_org & @CRFRiverkeeper, Duke Energy has given up its appeal & will remove its #coalash. Help make sure they pay for it, not us, by supporting my Polluters Pay Act so they cant raise rates on customers for this. #ncpol https://t.co/Z0Ml6WvZsE
Stein said he is urging the Trump Administration to stop its headlong rush to put oil rigs off North Carolina's beautiful shores. Thank you @JoshStein_ Keep fighting. https://t.co/mAy8pwcuTT
Last night, Colonial Pipeline released its update re the gasoline leak in Huntersville. 30 days ago, they said 63,000 gallons had leaked. Now it's 272,580 gallons! Colonial has removed only about half of the released product so far. Full update here: https://t.co/55toTGZOsu
After thorough questions from a resident, we learn that Colonial Pipeline has had 26 pipeline leaks in NC since 1989. Most arent as big as this one in Huntersville. This one is bigger (63,000 gallons) and high risk level. Im taking copious notes. @ChristyClarkNC @lisasorg https://t.co/OsjpLEhJJM
Good news here. Now I hope we can get the 1.2m+ gallons of gasoline cleaned up that leaked in Huntersville from a Colonial Pipeline aging pipe. https://t.co/OiOgnCpvnj
@ForwardCarolina @ChristyClarkNC Not thousands. It's at least 1.2 MILLION gallons of gasoline in the soil and water. The total will be EVEN HIGHER bc CP found a new, deeper pocket of leaked gasoline. We need to pass SB549, Improve Pipeline Safety, and move quickly toward #GreenEnergy
Thank you @NCCommerce for the invitation to join your @NCSTI board meeting today. It was an honor to speak in support of clean energy innovation in NC and I appreciate your and @NC_Governor<U+2019>s leadership. #OneNCSmallBiz #cleanenergy https://t.co/MByIHIs5ZF https://t.co/JVpzmJshts
NC Dems support @NC_Governor in forbidding off-shore oil drilling along NC Coast. That's not where we should be headed. We need #renewables not #drilling #NCDemsChat https://t.co/8hdjcKUFCO
