Getting lots of great feedback on SB324 and sparking a discussion on a state bird that is unique to or is often associated with Florida. Some suggestions have included the following: Ibis, scrub-jay, flamingo, Osceola turkey, great egret, construction crane, snowbird, & mosquito.
I should mention that the mockingbird is also the state bird of 4 other states. The mockingbird apparently had a very good lobbyist.
