I talked to a restaurant owner earlier today who is dipping into his 401k to pay his employees and other costs to run his business. The virus is mighty serious. But so is that.
I learned today that 10+ Middletown shops won't reopen.I ache for the owners & workers.They shouldn't have been closed b/c they could've operated safely, as did big stores.The essential/non-essential lens was disastrous. It should've been safe/unsafe, as I've said from the start.
@bightodd @janetpattonhl It has already been too long. But if we just keep putting our heads in the sand, we can keep gambling out of Kentucky. Who needs extra revenue anyway? And I say we outlaw going to the movies and other entertainment options—they cost too much money and prey on the poor!
@AndrewMillerKY They werent allowed to open months after we knew better. I could buy my wife flowers at Kroger but not The Country Squire. I could buy her a blouse at Target but not The Prickly Pear. Dumb. All around dumb. These businesses going belly up was predictable.
