Last night, the GOP in our state House used a party-line vote to pass a 12-week abortion ban - in a bill that was made public less than 24 hours earlier. They want to do this so fast that people don<U+2019>t notice. Let<U+2019>s make sure that plan fails. RT.

Dan Bishop just falsely claimed that Mark Robinson was simply a victim of hacking. There's no evidence of that. Bishop just made it up. Other members of his party are starting to distance themselves, but Bishop is still trying to be Robinson's "sidekick." We deserve better.
I can<U+2019>t overstate the consequences of this switch. While we don<U+2019>t know how she will vote on any given bill, dozens of bills that were essentially dead - from elections law changes to reproductive freedom to LGBTQ rights to education policy - may have just sprung back to life.
Next year in NC: 1) Our state legislature will convene. 2) The GOP will pass a bill banning abortion. 3) The Governor will veto it. 4) A veto override vote will be held. 5) Either Dems will have enough members to sustain the veto, or not. Those are the stakes this November.
Tomorrow my daughter gets to watch a woman become Vice President. One day shell get the gravity of that. But as Avery grows up, @KamalaHarris will just be the Vice President to her. It'll be just a normal thing. I love that so much.
