We<U+2019>ve got to be honest with people that the A.I. tidal wave is hitting years before we thought it would - and that Congress usually does practically nothing in response to big tech developments like this. Can<U+2019>t let that happen here. https://t.co/sC8YZEv3st

Universal broadband is essential, and it'd be an absolute gamechanger for rural NC. So let's 1) Legalize municipal broadband 2) Scale up funding for fiber 3) Close the affordability gap for low-income families Read the whole plan here: https://t.co/HfycjvwH7j
On her visit to NC today, @VP Kamala Harris talked about rural broadband being a key component of education, jobs, and telehealth. She’s spot on. That’s exactly what we’re hearing as we travel across the state. We have to start treating broadband like the necessity that it is. https://t.co/KAdMj8183j
Let us all join in the hope that tomorrow<U+2019>s long-awaited launch of the James Webb Space Telescope goes smoothly. For those who care about seeing into the distant unknown - our constant human endeavor beyond the horizon - this telescope is the stuff dreams are made of. Godspeed.
Congress is now providing more funding specifically for these issues and commercial labs are reportedly innovating rapidly, but this is essentially a race against time and increasing our testing capacity within the next ten days is absolutely critical.
Regarding commercial testing, we really dont know how much is happening. The commercial labs arent required to disclose test results unless theyre positive. In North Carolina, we have LabCorp conducting commercial tests.
Here's to a safe landing for Perseverance! I love it when NASA gives the world something we can all celebrate. So proud of those folks. https://t.co/mMObM1F1Wp
PPE acquisition is now a national problem and it probably requires a national plan - with major federal coordination - to solve. This directly impacts our ability to scale up testing, which directly impacts our ability to reopen and remain open. PPE = Testing = Fully reopening
Sunshield fully deployed and secure. The deployment of the Webb Space Telescope is right on track. Hard to overstate the complexity of this process - or the extraordinary work of those who spent years on its design and build. More to do, but JWST is looking beautiful so far. https://t.co/RveqECHxVJ
Also, anytime you see folks at NASA cheering it means something unambiguously good has happened. I love that.
