When my mom asked me if I had any masks, I froze. She was going on a cross country flight in mid-February 2020. At that time, COVID-19 cases were starting to be diagnosed in the United States & there was not yet guidance or requirement about wearing masks.

July is VA Maternal Health Awareness Month. This year, we established VAs first doula certification program & are looking at creating a doula program for Medicaid recipients. We need to continue working to make sure all receive accessible and high-quality maternal health.
