@CNN Toys R Us & Radio Shack both imploded a while ago. Retailers of all types are tempting targets for corporate raiders, since they have generous lines of credit (needed to buy merchandise) which are easy to abuse. General retailers have also been raided, e.g. @KMart & Sears.
@andrewsylvia @Ross_Berry @NHHouseGOP @NHDems @NHGOP On party lines, the Senate passed a bill stating "Persons who are under the age of 14 who are selling soft drinks on family owned or leased property shall be exempt from city, town, or village district licensing requirements." (5/)
@mmerando1 @BosSports121 @DeaglanM @GovChrisSununu It's hard enough when there's no pandemic to find & keep new customers. It's hard to keep customers who are deathly ill. It's REALLY hard to find new customers to replace current customers who die.
@granitelefty Most big-box retailers have a "loss protection" group who operate separately from the retail clerks.
Whats up with #NHHouse & #NHSenate @NHGOP members' resentment of the fact that @HomeDepot stayed open (in a limited fashion) during the height of the pandemic? Why do they always gripe specifically about Home Depot when so many other retailers also stayed open? #NHpolitics
I am not saying these items are unimportant. They're life-saving. But it's not expensive to make them, or to store & ship them. It shouldn't take unprecedented efforts (BTW, much appreciated!) by the best people to get a few extra days' supply of these items. (10/10)
@nhfreedom @NewHampJournal @KlandriganUL @NHDems @NHGOP Unlike @NHJournal, the @UnionLeader produces content that some people (e.g., myself) actually value enough to pay for, so they charge $$$ for it. Hey, that's capitalism for you!
