I was denied communion last night by the Catholic bishop here in Las Cruces and based on my political office. My new parish priest has indicated he will do the same after the last was run off. Please pray for church authorities as Catholicism transitions under Pope Francis.

@deaconjoed That would only be true if communion was denied all parishioners who share my position, and not single out those elected to office. But doing that would deny communion to 2/3 of American Catholics. Fortunately there are bishops and priests who have a more inclusive thinking.
