While the President may be correct in saying that poor forest management is a factor in the West's fires (although stronger winds, higher temps & drier conditions driven by climate change are the main reason) most of those forests are federally owned; he's ultimately responsible.

Reputable science tells us that, because of the effects of climate change, these events will become increasingly frequent & more severe. Now more than ever, it is clear that accepting <U+201C>good enough<U+201D> should never be acceptable.
Newtown is working with the Wildlife Division to obtain a permit to rehabilitate the cubs from this incident with a wildlife specialist. DEEP has left the surviving cubs in the area as it is their home range, & their familiarity with the area will increase their chance of success
