For unemployment benefits in MO, there is no job search requirement if you got laid off due to Corona. I just had someone call my office saying their claim was denied b/c no work search. This is wrong. Contact your state representative to help if this happens to you. #moleg

There are currently 128,900 Missourians unemployed & seeking work. Medicaid expansion could create 61,000 jobs for Missourians over the next 5 years. That means over the next five years, Medicaid expansion could create jobs for nearly half of Missourians currently seeking work.

Over the next five years, Medicaid expansion would create 81,000 jobs in our state. Our labor force is 3.08 million. That means Medicaid Expansion would lead to one new job for every 38 working Missourians. Wow. #moleg https://t.co/oGB8aJ8pel https://t.co/DdqLnwpoEO

The Chamber says Medicaid expansion will create 81,000 jobs during its first five years, which if true, will cut our unemployment rate by more than half. The voters bypassed the legislature to create the greatest jobs bill in our state’s history. https://t.co/tOMO8gXkrk

Repeat-if you are laid off in MO b/c of COVID-19, there is no work search requirement to receive unemployment benefits. Folks are still receiving this blue work search form with the rest of their info b/c it was previously prepared by a 3rd party. Imperfect, but it's life. #moleg https://t.co/i3wb1NaNRB
