It was exciting to have U.S. Transportation @SecretaryPete Buttigieg in North Dakota today to announce a $30m federal grant! This funding will address a blocked rail crossing in Grand Forks, one of 63 projects in 32 states that will improve safety. https://t.co/VmBQiteqXo

ND House Transportation Committee approved a bill doing away with the state’s seatbelt law for anyone over 18. HB 1257 from Rep. Magrum got a do-pass reco on an 8-6 vote. I was among the no votes. It's retribution for SB 2121 which makes not wearing a seatbelt a primary offense. https://t.co/Urm93atl3i

Well, that was an awful drive. Safely home in Fargo after a very slow drive. When we left Bismarck, the road report showed scattered ice on I94 but it turned to no travel advised. They closed the interstate just as we got to Fargo. I am *really* ready for this winter to be over. https://t.co/piolrZofZX

Thanks to the ND DoT for clearing our roads today and for the ND Highway Patrol and other LEOs for your service during dangerous conditions too. Everyone: if travel is essential today, be cautious!

All sworn in for another term! (Also pictured are my great colleagues Rep. @zacista and Rep. @coreymock.) I'm pleased to be assigned to the House Judiciary Committee again, along with the House Transportation Committee. https://t.co/4jPH0xxgSZ

Glad to see this move forward. Folks who have limited mobility face real difficulties at the capitol, especially with access to restrooms. https://t.co/DJMt5khi6j

3 new bike laws go into effect soon in ND. Rep. @coreymock (D-Grand Forks) sponsored them to encourage safer passing & safer intersections - making ND even more bike friendly! https://t.co/y7wKu0tCMe

Senate Bill 2121 would make not wearing a seatbelt a primary offense & require it for all passengers, not just those in the front seat. The House Transportation Committee heard powerful testimony today in favor of this bill – including compelling statistics & personal stories. >

The ND House defeated HB 1315, which would have raised the speed limit on interstate highways from 75 mph to 80.
