ND House Transportation Committee approved a bill doing away with the state’s seatbelt law for anyone over 18. HB 1257 from Rep. Magrum got a do-pass reco on an 8-6 vote. I was among the no votes. Well, that was an awful drive. Safely home in Fargo after a very slow drive. When we left Bismarck, the road report showed scattered ice on I94 but it turned to no travel advised. The ND House defeated HB 1315, which would have raised the speed limit on interstate highways from 75 mph to 80.
